Choosing art

April 11, 2013

I love (even adore) the simplicity of today’s post. I am featuring a great site called The Teaching Palette and the idea actually comes from a guest post from art teacher, Kathy Douglas.

She describes a lesson format based on student choice and provides a sound rationale for it.

If you are not the art teacher in your school, pass this post on to him or her. I think many art educators feel left out of discussions on differentiation and would be thrilled to get a fun tip in their inbox.

Offering choices is one of the easiest and most elegant ways to differentiate.

How can you provide more choice in your classroom today?
