FUN FRIDAY: Reading corners to rave about

October 12, 2012

Oh would I have loved to have Amber Osterman as my Kindergarten teacher. You may feel the same way when you see the photos she has posted on her Luv2teachK blog.

Scroll down her entire post to see how she reinvents the reading corner to match her various themes/units. I can just imagine how her students respond as they walk into the classroom to see the newest version.

What does your reading corner look like? Could you create a space that more students would find inspiring? How about choosing themes based on student interests? Or on favorite books enjoyed by your class?

It is easy to see how even the most reluctant reader would be attracted to spaces like these. This haunted house is my favorite! Which one would your learners love most?
