An English classroom for active learners

October 10, 2012

Today’s featured post comes from the high school English classroom.

Dr. Pezz, a secondary education teacher, over at The Doc Is In shares an outstanding active learning lesson in this post focused on changing activities every 15 minutes. The lesson would clearly appeal to those with different learning styles, provides opportunities for students to give and get support, and has a built-in informal assessment.

I use this type of lesson often, and my students really enjoy it. Plus, I can create numerous variations from it; only a slight change makes it seem brand new to students.

Thanks for visiting, Dr. Pezz! Great point about using different variations- simple but so effective!
