Columbus Day reconsidered

Today, I am just featuring a quick article about differentiating with cultural, regional, racial, or religious diversity in mind. Jump over the website of the California Teacher Association to learn more about alternative ways to teach and think about Columbus.

A question this piece brings to mind is how can we change materials, formats, and strategies not only to provide access and challenge but also to respond to individual differences in experience, understanding, and viewpoint?
