Student-created learning plans

March 17, 2011

Today’s idea is so smart! Over at Teachers at Risk, Elona Hartjes shows us how to teach students to create their own learning plans to prepare for exams. She emphasize that the plans should be customized and she provides learners with strategies that match their learning styles. So, not only is she thinking about differentiation but she is teaching her students about it. Brilliant!

Thank you for those kind words. My students do benefit from their learning plans. Some of my students have told me they use the learning plans in college . They even show their peers how to use the learning plans. Isn’t that cool.
